In order to run the most accurate Attendance Reports from PowerSchool, we need to audit the items that affect the reports' output which includes the setup for Attendance.

How to Extract DAT file from State Software
Once you have loaded all the data onto the state software, you need to extract the DAT file. To do so:
1. Make sure that the school is highlighted in black and is Selected YES
2. Make sure that all the reports you will be extracting have YES selected next to them
3. Use the menu to click on File > Export > Certified Data
4. In the screen that pops up, click on the check box next to LEA(s)
5. Click on the check box next to Program(s)
6. Click on Export
7. Answer the following two questions on the screen that pops up:
A. Have you verified the certificate numbers for each program?
B. Do you wish to note any exceptions to the data you are certifying and submitting?
8. Then click OK to export the files
9. A popup screen that appears will let you know which files were exported successfully
10. Click on Close to exit out of the popup
11. Click Cancel to close out Export Certified popup box
